simon
i am really sorry to hear about your studio. i hope the damage wasnt too bad. i have a studio/shop in my garage. last year i was out of town and it rained for 3 days. i came home and half of my shit was destroyed. i know what you are going thru. so much of it is irreplaceable, but all you can do is move on. To Native Americans, weather is just a another challenge. Up on Pine Ridge you'll see Lakota's walking in freezing weather AGAINST the wind with no coats on. And it doesnt bother them. The cold and wind is not to be conquered. It just is. Buffalo always walk against the wind, into the wind.
I hope you didnt lose too much of your work.
move on simon.

depressed
I was depressed. I worked so hard. Just three tiles came loose on the roof. Rain ruinted it all. But I am not a loser. I will begin again. I will tell you what touches me. Kimane and Jean-Louis and even Sol came from long way. They do not even know how to talk to people yet. It is much harder for them than for me. I am still in many ways in my culture. This is more like Mescalero than unlike it. So I am not going to be a baby. Look at Jacques. All he came with was shorts and flip flops. I am rich compared to that and I have a new art studio. So I better get to work, huh?Simon
